#17 LOVE RIZI – Constanța

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆’s mission is to place new media art – emergent technologies applied in art – in Romania’s Creative & Cultural Industries, to transform art galleries in immersive shows through innovation and to create a bridge between heritage and the new tools of storytelling.

The second One Night Gallery Love RIZI edition took place in 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁̦𝗮, at 𝗦̦𝘂𝘁̦𝘂 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗮. 

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁, this architectural landmark was open to the public after more than 20 years. One Night Gallery 17th edition presented the works of 𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗜, a design studio which experiments at the intersection of architecture, technology and communication. Founded in 2013 by an architect and a communications & multimedia specialist, the studio explores emotions through technology. The two artists have designed an immersive experience, fusing nature and technology in order to celebrate innovation and design, but also to enhance nature.

The exhibition showcased 𝟵 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 under the umbrella concept 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦, that unites 4 primordial elements of nature – fire, water, earth and air – with 4 essential design elements – point, line, plan and form. 

= Șuțu Vila = 
The house is an eccentric construction, placed on a cliff, facing the Black sea, with a mooresque architecture. The oriental charm of Villa Șuțu will enhance the architectural installations and will offer visitors a unique experience. The public will have the opportunity to discover besides RIZI’s creations, this outstanding location, a historical monument of category A, which belonged to Prince Mihail Șuțu and was built by the architect Grigore Cerchez in 1899. During its 122 years of existence it was the private home of the prince and his family and afterwards used as an observation point during the Second World War, as well as the consulate of Czechoslovak Republic and the Court of Appeal. The guests were able to find out more details from 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 conducted by the volunteers from Constanța Capitala Tineretului that will present a brief history put together by the history teachers from Ovidius University.
